No ancient civilization has excited our imagination and curiosity quite as much as the Egyptians. From the spectacular construction of their pyramids to their advances in medicine, the remnants of their civilization have fueled speculation and study of our ancient world. But perhaps their most remarkable achievement is their use of language through hieroglyphics. The meaning, dialect and structure of this advanced language is still being studied today and one of its most mysterious symbols is the Eye of Horus.

This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Staninger welcomes Dr. Obadiah S. Harris, the President of the Philosophical Research Society and filmmaker Veronica Hendricks as they discuss the meaning of the Eye of Horus in times both ancient and modern.

Founded by Manly P. Hall, the Philosophical Research Society is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization founded in 1934 for the purpose of providing thoughtful persons rare access to the depth and breadth of the world’s wisdom literature. In his writings, Manly Hall explored the connection between ancient theistic beliefs, including the Egyptian concept of the Eye of Horus. To the Egyptians, the Eye of Horus is the division of the higher self within the individual and a symbol they used as protection.

But what does the Eye have to with modern society? Veronica Hendricks hopes to bring that to light. She has spent countless hours documenting patients with Morgellon’s disease and the work of Dr. Staninger herself, whose paper, The Eye of Horus Effect, explores the connection between Ancient Egyptian mathematics, numbers and their relation to the human eye. Many Morgellon’s patients have displayed unusual markings in the whites of their eyes, and a clear line can be drawn between the Egyptian quadrant mathematics and the health of the patients.

Join Dr. Staninger and her guests this week as they discuss the connection between the Ancient Egyptian concept of the Eye of Horus and modern medicinal practices on One Cell One Light Radio!
