8 15 12 – Dr Hildy™ WINNING in the Difficult Matter of Foreclosures!
HOUR 1 AUDIO: HOUR 2 AUDIO:
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy™ will be changing gears a bit, and turn the focus to an aspect of our health that is too-often ignored – our financial health. Especially in today’s wintry economic climate, it is more important than ever to give great attention to our financial well-being. Like it or not, money is a huge part of our lives and the managing of one’s own personal wealth can have a large affect on our physical health.
Dr. Hildy™ is joined this week by consumer attorneys George Gingo and James Orth of the Titusville, Florida-based Law Offices of Gingo and Orth, to discuss foreclosures and bankruptcy. Poor lending practices by many home loan companies are often cited as one of the main causes of the 2008 banking crisis and the subsequent economic recession from which we are still trying to recover. The state of Florida was one of the hardest hit areas, second only to California, with a foreclosure rate of one in every 325 housing units. It is the mission of Gingo and Orth to ensure that homeowners are well-represented in their foreclosure cases, not only providing affordable legal advice but also winning cases for their clients.
After graduating from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, George took a position as a law clerk for federal district court judge Edward Dean Price in Fresno, California. For the next 8 years he handled primarily criminal cases and dependency cases and he also had the wonderful opportunity to sit as a Judge Pro Tem of the Superior Court in dependency and small claims actions. In 1998, he became a deputy district attorney and primarily worked in the child abduction unit and family support unit of the district attorney’s office. James Orth was one of George’s law enforcement investigators while at the District Attorney’s office. George also was a reserve deputy sheriff for the County of Fresno. In 2003, George moved back home to Florida. In 2007, George started representing homeowners in foreclosure in Florida. James Orth, now an attorney, moved to Florida and began practicing law with George.
In 1992 James Orth graduated from the California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, then attended the police academy followed by a 9.5 year career as a criminal investigator with the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office. During this period of time, he met and became friends with George Gingo. In 2003, James left his law enforcement career behind and attended the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, and became the Juvenile Officer of the 16th Judicial Circuit, Family Court Division located in Kansas City, Missouri, where he handled criminal cases against juveniles and civil cases of abuse and neglect against adults. In 2008, James began a position as an Assistant District Attorney with the Johnson County District Attorney in Olathe, Kansas. He was responsible for cases ranging from traffic infractions to felony crimes against persons and property. Mr. Orth was assigned to the white collar theft division where he handled complex civil litigation cases.
The combined training, background and efforts of Attorneys George Gingo and James Orth portend an ominous future for those finding themselves on the ‘other side’ of the Bar!
Their discussion will focus on the different types of foreclosures, such as non-judicial, as is used in California – meaning mortgagees do not have to file an actual lawsuit to initiate the foreclosure – and judicial, as is used in the state of Florida
Their website offers point-by-point help for homeowners ‘going it alone’ in their court battles to keep the ‘American Dream’ roofs over their heads.
In addition to his practice, George Gingo has authored a book on the subject entitled How to Fight and Save Your Home in California, a tome that should prove indispensable in the state with the highest foreclosure rate in the country.
Join Dr. Hildy™ and her guests this week as they discuss foreclosure law on One Cell One Light Radio!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another Atttorney Speaks of George Gingo’s work:
George Gingo | Matt Weidner – Fighting With The American People Here goes another spellbinding appeal written by that masterful author George Gingo. You really must sit down and study the attached appellate brief which reads more like a nail biting crime novel than some dry academic appeal I mean, seriously. Put yourself in the moment, picture the courtroom, picture the homeowner defendant standing there and just read line after line as the transcript plays out. Shocking and maddening and just mindblowing….every single line…..
