The Boy, The Farmer – Author, Jeff Bischoff
Of the most important inventions in human history, it’s possible there is none of more import than that of the book. From the Holy Bible, the best-selling book in history, to self-published books available online, the book has seen modifications over time but is largely the same as when it first appeared.
In the second hour of the show, Dr. Hildy will welcome author and farmer Jeffrey Bischoff to discuss his book, The Boy, The Farmer. A true story that plays out in his childhood in Old Saybrook, CT in 1972, the story chronicles a young newspaper boy who dreams of one day becoming a farmer. Jeff wrote it for children ages 3-9, but he wanted to make it appealing to the parents and grandparents who might be doing the reading.
Jeffrey Bischoff is President and Founder of Old Greenwich Consultants, a retained search firm focused exclusively on the Private Wealth Management sector. With over 20 years of experience in executive recruitment in the financial services industry, Jeff has established extensive contacts on both the corporate and candidate sides throughout the United States.
At the age of 10, Mr. Bischoff’s mother brought her 8 children to visit Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts and his life was changed forever – having been transported back to Colonial America, a period which he never left in his heart.
Join Dr. Hildy and her guests as they discuss their children’s books and writing experience on One Cell One Light Radio!
Here’s the link to my publishing company, it has some good information about me and the book.
“The Boy, The Farmer” is a true story that plays out in the author Jeff Bischoff’s childhood in Old Saybrook, CT in 1972. The story chronicles a young newspaper boy who dreams of one day becoming a farmer. Jeff wrote it for children ages 3-9, but he wanted to make it appealing to the parents and grandparents who would be doing the reading.
Eric Sloane, the American landscape painter and author, played a prominent role in Jeff’s passion for all things Americana.
The book is filled with farming facts and American history that will enable the adult reader to learn while teaching. Jeff hopes to inspire both children and adults in the way that Sloane inspired him.
