8 15 12 – Dr Hildy™ WINNING in the Difficult Matter of Foreclosures!

This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy will be changing gears a bit, and turn the focus to an aspect of our health that is too-often ignored – our financial health. Especially in today’s wintry economic climate, it is more important than ever to give great attention to our financial well-being. Like it or not, money is a huge part of our lives and the managing of one’s own personal wealth can have a large affect on our physical health.

Dr. Hildy is joined this week by consumer attorneys George Gingo and James Orth of the Titusville, Florida-based Law Offices of Gingo and Orth, to discuss foreclosures and bankruptcy. Poor lending practices by many home loan companies are often cited as one of the main causes of the 2008 banking crisis and the subsequent economic recession from which we are still trying to recover. The state of Florida was one of the hardest hit areas, second only to California, with a foreclosure rate of one in every 325 housing units. It is the mission of Gingo and Orth to ensure that homeowners are well-represented in their foreclosure cases, not only providing affordable legal advice but also winning cases for their clients.
After graduating from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, George took a position as a law clerk for federal district court judge Edward Dean Price in Fresno, California. For the next 8 years he handled primarily criminal cases and dependency cases and he also had the wonderful opportunity to sit as a Judge Pro Tem of the Superior Court in dependency and small claims actions. In 1998, he became a deputy district attorney and primarily worked in the child abduction unit and family support unit of the district attorney’s office. James Orth was one of George’s law enforcement investigators while at the District Attorney’s office. George also was a reserve deputy sheriff for the County of Fresno. In 2003, George moved back home to Florida. In 2007, George started representing homeowners in foreclosure in Florida. James Orth, now an attorney, moved to Florida and began practicing law with George. Read the rest of this entry
