Despite our ever-shrinking world, it’s always hard to imagine how much smaller things can get. Computers which once took up entire rooms now fit in our pocket. Libraries now fit on a device you can take with you anywhere. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. As tech moves forward, it gets smaller, and the future is nano.
This week on One Cell, One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guests – Artist Rick Dubov and Film Producer/Director Veronica Hendricks to discuss updates in the advancement of nanotechnology – cellular-level tech that is changing our world.
Nanotech is already in full swing in our world. The most common current use is in coatings – substances you can spray on clothing to repel water, or to help an item repel sunlight to stop fading. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
One of the predicted uses of nano is in biotech. Nano sensors could one day enter the bloodstream and provide real-time analysis of your physical health. Instead of drawing blood and having it analyzed at a lab, you could get the results instantaneously. Work is already being done on synthetic cells – ones created in a lab but potentially used in a variety of ways, including genetic modification, fertilization, and more.
Nano isn’t the only area of tech that is rapidly growing. With advancements in virtual reality, the possibility of creating experiences that feel real to the user are endless. Imagine being able to see the world from the perspective of someone different than you. Imagine how you might feel about race if you could live life for a day as someone who is not like you. Or imagine learning surgery without cutting open a body.
Join Dr. Hildy and her guests this week as they talk about advancements in nano and other technologies on One Cell One Light Radio!

Researchers develop medical device that dissolves in the body –
Northwestern University and Washington University School of Medicine researchers have developed the first example of a bioelectronic medicine: an implantable, biodegradable wireless device that speeds nerve regeneration and improves healing of a damaged nerve. Their device delivered pulses of electricity to damaged nerves in rats after a surgical repair process, accelerating the regrowth of nerves and enhancing the recovery of muscle strength and control. The device is the size of a dime and the thickness of a sheet of paper and dissolves in the body after about two weeks. https://www.technologynetworks.com/neuroscience/videos/the-worlds-first-bioelectronic-medicine-310552

Dusty Data – We Can Now Store Data in the Form of a Powder
Data might be the most valuable resource in the world, but we’re quickly approaching the physical limits of the magnetic systems we use to store most of it. Additionally, mining the materials needed to create those systems, such as hard drives or USB sticks, is a burden on the environment.
This Horrifying ‘Slaughterbot’ Video Is The Best Warning Against Autonomous Weapons – Facial Recognition DAVID NIELD – 22 NOV 2017
We’re on the verge of creating autonomous weapons that can kill without any help from humans. Thousands of experts are concerned about this – and the latest campaign effort against this tech is a chilling video demonstrating the kind of future we’re heading for.
In the short, which we’ve embedded below, swarms of AI-controlled drones carry out strikes on thousands of unprepared victims with targeted precision. What makes the clip so scary is that the scenario is entirely plausible. The video starts with a spectacular press event where the technology is unveiled for the first time. The miniature drones are able to take out “the bad guys” – whoever they happen to be – without any collateral damage, nuclear weapons, or troops on the ground.
Evacuated after ‘health attacks’ in Cuba and China, diplomats face new ordeals in U.S.
Some diplomats and their doctors tell NBC they’re concerned the U.S. wants to downplay what happened. Some suspect harassment has continued inside the U.S.
EXCERPT: “Cuba and China deny any role. While the U.S. hasn’t named a culprit, it says the “health attacks” caused brain injury and other physical harm. Physicians enlisted by the State Department have identified what they call a “Brain Network Disorder” acquired by U.S. personnel serving abroad, say U.S. officials, that includes structural changes to the brain not found in any previously known disorder.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/investigations/evacuated-after-health-attacks-cuba-china-diplomats-face-new-ordeals-n920241

These countries may soon have the highest life expectancies – US has plummeted to 64th!
New research forecasts future life expectancies in 195 countries and territories around the world, and the results for the United States are pretty grim. In 2016, the U.S. ranked 43rd in the world, with an average lifespan of 78.7 years. By 2040, Americans’ life expectancy is forecast to increase, but only by 1.1 years to 79.8. This causes the U.S. to plummet in rank to 64th. The study, published in the international medical journal The Lancet, offers unique new insights into the health statuses of nations worldwide. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/countries-highest-life-expectancies-by-2040/
Now that we are living in the Information Age, we are learning at exponential rates. Our knowledge of what lies beyond our planet has grown rapidly. Just last week, NASA announced the discovery of hundreds of planets, something that even 10 years ago was solely theory. As we look beyond our own boundaries to learn more about our potential future, we are also looking inward to learn more about our past. Myths and legends, long part of our oral history, have been given historical context, sometimes exposing the truth behind some, and leaving others as a greater mystery. While some legends of the past seem too fantastical to be true, we are learning more every day and have to ask – what if they are indeed true?
Gophette and the Jeweled Dragonfly
This week on One Cell, One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guest, the delightful Rene Compton – creator of the children’s tutorials, “Computer Puppets” and the majical Gophette — presents her charming reading of ‘THE JEWELED DRAGONFLY’ – a mythical – fascinating tale — and returning guest, Film Producer Veronica Hendricks, for a discussion on the reality of our most fascinating myths and legends.
The Jeweled Dragonfly – Audio and Story by Rene Compton:
Some of the most pervasive myths are centered around cryptozoology, the study of creatures whose existence is still under debate due to lack of evidence. This includes living examples of creatures that are otherwise considered extinct, such as non-avian dinosaurs and animals whose existence lacks physical evidence but which appear in folklore, such as Bigfoot and chupacabras. Among these creatures are unicorns and dragons, both of which hold enormous significance in fiction, but have yet to authenticated as having existed on our planet.
However, recently dated a fossil of Elasmotherium sibiricum found in Kazakhstan has recently proven a “unicorn” was still alive 29,000 years ago. Thought to have been extinct for more than 350,000 years, this creature looked more like a rhinoceros than a horse, weighing about 9,000 pounds. It’s easy to see how through oral history, the legend of this quadroped could have changed from a large, rhinoceros-like creature, to that of the horse-with-a-horn that we are more familiar with now.
Join Dr. Hildy and her guests this week as they discuss the veracity of this and other ancient legends on One Cell One Light Radio!

NOTES FROM DR. HILDY:
What If Legends are True?
May 18, 2016, OCOLR – Dr. Hildy
What is a legend? A legend is defined as a traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but unauthenticated by Webster’s Dictionary. Currently, we are living in a time when science is proving the historical findings of anthropologist to be true. It is a time when myth, legend and the scientific validation of natural history is being proven to be TRUE.
SHOW RE-SCHEDULED from Wednesday, December 9, 2015, to DECEMBER 16, 2016 – 1:00-3:00PM Pacific (2:00-4:00pm Mountain; 3:00-5:00pm Central; 4:00-6:00pm Eastern)
The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe is one of the greatest that we have never been able to answer. Our galaxy is impossibly vast, and it is just one of billions in our universe. The human brain cannot even comprehend the size of existence. Given this size, the probability that we are the only life out there seems extremely low. While most people will never learn the answer to this, there are some that believe they know the truth – and the truth is no, we are not alone.
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes Veronica Hendricks, Film Producer, to discuss legendary author and UFO-ologist Whitley Streiber‘s book THE KEY..
Unknown to no one with more than a passing interest in alien encounters, Mr. Streiber began his career as a novelist with the horror novels The Wolfen and The Hunger, which was made into a movie directed by Hollywood legend Tony Scott, and stars Susan Sarandon, David Bowie, and Catherine Deneuve.
During their discussion, Dr. Hildy and Veronica will discuss Whitley’s self-published book, The Key.
Columbia Investigations is one of a small handful of specialized agencies or individuals in the United States who are qualified to offer what are commonly referred to in the vernacular as “scans” for radio frequency identification, nanomaterials, and similar technologies in individuals. In addition, Columbia Investigations has supplemental testing which will become the standard via the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Training, Exam and Certification regimen.
With the exponential advances in technology we’ve seen in the last 30 years, we are able to do miraculous things. Nearly every American walks around with a device that can bring them nearly any piece of information at nearly any given time. But as we’ve learned from the preeminent philosopher of our day, with great power comes great responsibility. Technology has allowed us to achieve things that were once thought impossible but also has made us susceptible to the prying eyes of some, and the harassment of others. But while an annoying sales call every once in a while is one thing, others are experiencing something completely different and greatly more nefarious.
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes special guests Derrick Robinson, President of Freedom From Covert Harassment and private investigator Melinda Kidder of Columbia Investigations to discuss the targeting of individuals by covert harassment. Read the rest of this entry →

The Third Eye. The Eye of Horus. The Seat of the Soul. These, along with the pineal body, conarium or epiphysis cerebri, are all different names for the same thing: the mysterious pineal gland. A small endocrine gland in the brain, the pineal gland produces melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of sleep patterns in the circadian rhythms and seasonal functions. But some believe that it is much more than that.
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guests Rick Dubov and Veronica Hendricks to discuss the Cosmic Egg myth and its link to the pineal gland.
The cosmic egg is a mythological motif found in the creation myths of many cultures and civilizations. Typically, the egg is a beginning of some sort, and the universe or some primordial being comes into existence by “hatching” from the egg, sometimes lain on the primordial waters of the Earth. Many ancient mythologies include an idea of a cosmic egg, including Egyptian, Greek, and Phoenician. The currently most popular theory of creation, the Big Bang Theory, is an example of a cosmic egg myth: the universe coming into being through the “hatching” of an egg, in this case the entire mass of the universe that was compressed into a gravitational singularity from which it expanded to its current state.
